breann young
An artist who truly knows who she is, Breann Young’s hauntingly powerful voice paired with her honest and relatable lyrics are a breath of fresh air that resonates with lovers of Classic Country and Americana music.
Born in a small east Texas town and raised singing in a church choir, Breann’s talent was clear to those around her at young age. After watching hometown hero, Grammy award winner, Linda Davis, perform at the age of 3, Breann knew how important music was to her. “I’ve always had a taste on my own for voices and songs that made me feel something. I may not have realized it then, but eventually I figured out that music was going to be something that held me together throughout my life. Through the good times and the bad.”
At the age of 8, Breann began performing with her first band “Pure Country” in her hometown.
Breann moved to Nashville in 2010. She has had numerous song cuts by independent artists in Music City and has opened shows for names you might recognize like Lorrie Morgan, Kelly Lang, TG Sheppard, Shelly Fairchild, Cheley Tackett and David Allan Coe. In 2017 Breann released her first project called “Highs and Lows” an EP with a collection of 7 original songs. A friendship with a local duo “The Young Fables” and a strong writing chemistry resulted in a huge accolade in 2018 when Breann had not one, not two, but three original songs placed on the duos sophomore album “Old Songs”. She wrote all three songs with band members Laurel Wright and Wesley Lunsford. Keeping Me Alive, Holding On, and Hard To Be Happy launched Breann into a new tier of writers in town showing her growth and depth as a writer. Most recently Breann Co-wrote a song written and released as a single by Erin Viancourt called “Playin’ Old Records” as well as a song on TG Shepperds new album “Midnight in Memphis”. The song is called “Sober” co-written with Jacy Dawn and Kelly Lang. “There is magic in this city and that’s why I came here, to find mine and to share it with everyone.” -BREANN YOUNG
While Breann continues to grow her fan base and promote her reluctance to conform she remembers how she felt while writing her music and hopes those same emotions come across to listeners everywhere. Tag along and follow the Journey. This music and this artist all deserve to be heard by people who are out there searching for REAL Music.
